WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Subject to the terms and conditions, Wonder Roo (ABN 48 644 768 114) warrants the original purchaser (“Purchaser”) that for a period as below from the date of the first purchase (“Warranty Period”), for any items of the caravan that is manufactured by Wonder Roo. The conditions, limitations and exclusions that apply to this warranty are as follows.
All warranty considerations and approvals are subject to an inspection of the caravan by a Wonder Roo authorised repair agent.
- STRUCTURAL WARRANTY
The structural warranty is provided to the original purchaser of the new caravan for the period specified in the specification form from the date of first purchase. This structural warranty applies under normal use and condition, regular servicing, and maintenance and subject to the stated exclusions within these terms and conditions. You are covered against any structural failure to the caravan chassis (excludes adjustments and rubber components) and aluminium walls and roof structure.
The structural warranty is not transferrable and is only available to the original purchaser or the entity that originally registered the caravan.
- MANUFACTURING WARRANTY
The manufacturing warranty is provided to the original purchaser of the new caravan for the period specified in the specification form from the date of the first purchase. Manufacturing warranty covers the workmanship under normal use and condition, regular servicing, and maintenance within Australia provided that an Exception does not apply.
Subject to the exclusions listed below, during the warranty periods, after being inspected by an authorised Wonder Roo agent, Wonder Roo has the option to repair, replace or adjust free of charge any part which it finds to be defective in workmanship.
- Items not covered (exclusions) by the Structural and manufacturing warranty
- Maintenance costs and wear and tear items including wheel balance and alignment, brake adjustment, removal of rattles and squeaks and the general tightening up of parts and components, addition of lubricants, repair/rectification of paint damage, chips, dents, scratches and marks, repair/rectification of damage to galvanising (where applicable) including chips, dents, scratches and marks.
- For any claim on suspension, axles, brakes, tyres, coupling, etc., please refer to the relevant Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) warranty.
- Damage to shock absorbers due to overheating (i.e., towing over rough terrain for extended periods with inadequate cooling-off periods). The minimum recommended rest period is 45 minutes per 2 hours travel. Please refer to the relevant Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM).
- All items not manufactured by Wonder Roo, including appliances such as refrigerators, stoves, microwave ovens, freezers, air conditioners, radios, televisions, batteries and chargers or other options which may be covered by the respective manufacturer or supplier of that item.
- Removal or re-installation costs of third-party items to enable repairs under that warranty are the responsibility of the Purchaser unless the third-party OEM agree to cover the cost;
- Defects resulting from overloading, incorrect load distribution, misuse, fire, theft, impact, submersion in water, negligence, accident, abuse, infestation by animals, rodents, insects, rust, corrosion or other cause beyond the direct control of Wonder Roo.
- Damage caused by excessive speeds over rugged or rough terrain. For example, increasing speed in an attempt to have the caravan become airborne (“float”) over corrugations can result in failure of springs, shock absorbers, A-frames and other structural and non-structural parts and components.
- Damage caused by towing with incorrect tyre pressure.
- Damage caused by use in applications or over rough roads and terrain where the caravan is not designed and equipped for such operation (e.g., use of semi offroad caravan in continuous offroad conditions).
- Tyre replacement due to normal wear, damage such as cuts, snags, bruises and bulges, damage caused by punctures or tyre repair, damage caused by improper inflation or alignment, speeding, overloading or improper mounting or dismounting.
- Damage to the caravan underbody parts and components where the user failed to observe the ground clearance.
- Damage caused by improper use of load-levelling devices (e.g., using a load-levelling device to correct the front-to-rear attitude and/or towing behaviour of an incorrectly laden caravan and/or towing vehicle).
- Damage caused by the use of an inappropriate tow vehicle (e.g., one which has insufficient towing capacity).
- Damage due to the use of a tow vehicle which is equipped with an inadequate or unsuitable tow bar, tow hitch or coupling.
- Damage due to the owner’s failure to correctly connect the tow vehicle to the caravan being towed.
- Defects resulting from the modification, fitting or installation of any accessories or other items after the caravan has left the premises of Wonder Roo.
- Any rectification, modification or other work required due to alterations in local, State and Territory or Federal legislation, which occurs after the manufacturing of the caravan.
- Where a defect is exacerbated, or the cost of repairing such a defect is increased, by a failure of the Purchaser to deliver the caravan to the premises or a Wonder Roo approved service centre/repair agent for the carrying out of the required repair of a defect as soon as possible after the Purchaser became aware, or ought to have become aware, of the defect, the Warranty shall only cover the part of the defect that arose to the time the Purchaser knew, or ought to have known, of the defect.
- Deterioration due to exposure or damage due to normal wear and tear, natural causes or resulting from subjecting the caravan to abnormal conditions, including environment, temperature, water, fire, humidity, pressure, stress, or similar.
- Defects resulting from the use of unauthorised parts, improper repairs or accessories on or in relation to the caravan.
- Defects resulting from use of the caravan other than for the purpose for which it was designed.
- Water damage caused by a creek or river crossings, flooding and other similar conditions.
- Shrinkage, fading, punctures or tears to fabric items such as soft furnishings, mattresses and upholstery.
- Damage to surfaces and seals caused by after-treatments such as coatings, protectants and sealants, or normal service and maintenance items.
- Used for full time or permanent residential purposes which has accelerated fair wear and tear.
- Used for any purpose other than recreational personal use including commercial or hire purposes which has accelerated fair wear and tear.
It is the responsibility and obligation of the Purchaser to service and maintain the caravan in a safe and roadworthy condition. Failure to do so may void this warranty.
- Corrosion WARRANTY
Your new caravan chassis has a 12 months corrosion warranty. Corrosion arising as a result of chips, dents, scratches and marks not covered by the corrosion warranty.
- parts and accessories WARRANTY
Parts and accessories (e.g., spare wheel holders, jerrycan holders) manufactured by Wonder Roo come with 12 month parts and accessories warranty. Damage caused by improper use is not covered by the parts and accessories warranty.
- ELECTRICAL and Plumbing INSTALLATION WARRANTY
Your new caravan has 12 month electrical and plumbing warranty. The warranty is provided by the electrical and plumbing service provider. Wonder Roo will facilitate the warranty claim.
- Our obligations
Wonder Roo will ensure that any warranty claim made against this cover will be initiated within 20 working days of receipt and will either accept for further investigation or decline the claim.
- YOUR obligations
The Purchaser must ensure that the caravan is serviced regularly in accordance with the manufacturer’s handbook. The service intervals should not exceed recommended service schedule. An allowance of no more than 30 days or 500 km beyond the stated intervals will be accepted.
The Purchaser agrees not to claim warranty on caravan items that has become defective as a result or consequence of the owner’s improper use.
Purchaser agrees to properly and punctually maintain, use or operate the caravan in accordance with all recommendations and instructions of Wonder Roo and/or Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or the original parts supplier, and not to exceed the capacity and operating limitations specified by Wonder Roo.
The customer has a duty of care to ensure the maintenance of the caravan and roadworthiness is up to date. Failure to do so may void the warranty.
The caravan under normal circumstances should be delivered at the Purchaser’s expense to the Wonder Roo approved service centre/repair agent to carry out the Wonder Roo warranty work/ service as soon as possible after the need for such service becomes apparent.
- WARRANTY CLAIM
If a defect covered by Wonder Roo warranty occurs, the Purchaser should immediately contact the Caravan Dealer. The Caravan Dealer and Wonder Roo will process the warranty claim.
Wonder Roo will NOT reimburse the cost of parts or repairs performed by external companies/service centre/repair agents without prior written approval.
Unless the Purchaser and Wonder Roo agree otherwise, the Purchaser MUST bear all costs and expenses incurred in transporting the caravan to, and collecting it from, the Wonder Roo approved service centre/repair agent premises and any transport insurance costs of the caravan.
9.1 Claim Lodgement
Any warranty claim must be accompanied by:
- Completed Wonder Roo warranty claim form
- Proof of purchase
- Details of the caravan (such as VIN number)
- Full details of the alleged defect, photos and/or videos
- Appropriate documentation (e.g., service history, distances and routes travelled, locations visited, receipts of service and repair work performed during the warranty period)
Claim must be lodged as soon as a warranty issue becomes apparent.
9.2 Warranty with third-party products and appliances
- Warranty with third-party products and appliances is assessed by the manufacturer or supplier of that item.
- Wonder Roo assumes no responsibility or liability for defects in workmanship or operation of parts and components supplied by third-parties.
- Wonder Roo undertakes to provide reasonable assistance to the Purchaser to in contacting the manufacturer, importer, or distributor of Supplied parts and components to make a warranty claim.
- Wonder Roo has no control over the approval or rejection of the warranty claim submitted to the third-party products.
- Removal or re-installation costs of third-party items to enable repairs under that warranty are the responsibility of the Purchaser unless the appliance third-party OEM agree to cover the cost;
9.3 Claim Assessment
To make a warranty claim for the caravan, the first step is to get it assessed.
- Therefore, the Purchaser MUST provide photos of the alleged defect or allow Wonder Roo to obtain photographs of the alleged defect.
- If photos and/or videos are insufficient to assess the alleged defect, the Purchaser MUST make the caravan available to a Wonder Roo approved service centre/repair agent for inspection and testing as soon as possible. If such inspection and testing find no defect, the Purchaser must pay Wonder Roo the usual costs of service work, evaluation, and testing.
- Any quote provided by the Wonder Roo approved service centre/repair agent MUST include your full name, contact details and the VIN number of your caravan so we can contact you if required.
9.4 Repair Work
Once Wonder Roo receives the quote, we will assess it and provide the service centre/repair agent with a written authority to proceed with the repairs listed on the approved quote.
- The service centre/repair agent SHOULD NOT commence any repairs without the written authorisation from Wonder Roo.
- Wonder Roo will NOT, under any circumstances, pay any works NOT LISTED on the Wonder Roo approved quote.
When picking up your caravan from the service centre/repair agent please ensure that you are 100% satisfied with the work carried out.
- DO NOT take the caravan if you are unsatisfied with the work.
- Ensure the service centre/repair agent gives you a warranty on all works carried out.
If a defect covered by this warranty appears, Wonder Roo will, according to its sole discretion, either repair or replace the item without charge for parts and labour incurred in that rectification.
Wonder Roo reserves the right to replace defective parts of the caravan with parts and components of similar quality, grade, and composition where an identical part or component is not available. Components or parts of the caravan presented for repair may be replaced by refurbished units of the same type rather than being repaired.
9.5 Exclusions
Unless Wonder Roo expressly agrees, this warranty will not apply to any defect in, or which is attributable to, or to the use of, any modification made to the caravan unless such modification has been made by or at the direction of Wonder Roo.
The terms of this warranty will cease to apply to any caravan which Wonder Roo believes, on reasonable grounds, has been written off.
